Article - "We Speak"

Just out: my article in Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine on the "We Speak" show currently at the Woodmere Art Museum. Take a look if you can get hold of one. The reproductions are so beautiful. And go see this show if you're in the Philadelphia area. It's truly amazing, humbling, and inspiring!

Judging

Artists Eliza Auth (l) and Nancy Bea Miller (r) judging "100 Years of Art" at Harcum College  photo credit: Amy Shumoski
I was delighted to be invited to judge Harcum College's exhibition, 100 Years of Art, along with artist Eliza Auth. The work was extremely varied in every way making this a tough judging challenge! I especially appreciated having a co-judge to discuss the choices with. I've been invited to judge several other shows this past year, solo, so this colleague process made a nice change!

The show looks wonderful in the Marlo Little Theatre, which has been turned into a light-filled chapel of art with the help of perfectly proportioned temporary walls. It looks like it was meant to be an art gallery, although we were told it usually is used for lectures, musical recitals and yoga classes!
